VP2V DXpeditions

VP2V DXpeditions

We believe that it is more important to give a new country to "small pistol" than to give an 8th band QSO to a "big gun" station. By doing this, we hope to fulfill the demand for a "new one", especially from stations located in Japan and the rest of the Far East.

Antennas Layout
Google satelite map shows our QTH with the antennas layout project.

BVI - Pirates Paradise

The Caribbean Sea is home to many islands where pirates operated in the XVII century, especially Tortola and British Virgin Islands. I well remember Sabatini's book "Captain Blood" from my childhood, and now we’ve decided to operate from Anegada, one of the British Virgin Islands.

Getting ready for VP2V

As our expedition QTH will be on the shore of the Caribbean Sea, we decided to build mostly vertical antennas to take advantage of the salt water close by. All our antennas were tested for the expedition in Poland. They are easy and quick to build, lightweight and with good, low take off angles.
Frequencies

The expedition will try to operate near the following frequencies, usually listening up. Please identify operator callsign and follow instructions.
