Our team is planning the activation of Banaba island during November 2013. We'll have six stations at two sites operating CW/SSB/RTTY on 160m through 10m.
The team is comprised of W2IJ, N1EMC, N6HC, DK1II, N9NS, W6KK, KD6XH, AA4FL, AD6E, DL5EBE, HA0NAR, VK3FY, WA1S, WA1F, DL6KVA, N6HD, DJ5IW, K3VN, and WA6FGV.

Dxpedition News
We are still in the planning phase and have scheduled work efforts through July to prepare the equipment for shipment from California to New Zealand to Fiji and then on to Tarawa via sea container. Tarawa is our site of ocean departure for Banaba.
We look forward to filling the logs with those needing T33 for DXCC.
Our Plans
May through July 2013 we will be acquiring equipment, testing and integrating stations and antennas.
August and September 2013 we will be closely monitoring the location of the equipment being shipped via sea container from California to Tarawa via New Zealand and Fiji.
In November 2013 our team members arrive on Fiji by the 1st, and fly to Tarawa early on November 3rd to begin our sea voyage later that evening. We arrive at Banaba early on the 5th, meet with locals, inspect planned sites, unload the boat and get 1-2 stations on the air by late evening.
We will be operational late November 5th to early November 18th
Once the operational period ends we break down the sites on November 18th, departing by boat late evening to arrive in Tarawa on the 20th. We fly from Tarawa on to Fiji on the 21st for the last legs of our journey back home.
Banaba Island
Banaba is the most western island in the Republic of Kiribati, an island nation located in the central tropical Pacific Ocean. Kiribati is composed of 32 atolls and the one raised coral island of Banaba, dispersed over 3.5 million square km (1,351,000 square miles), straddling the equator.

QSL Info
OQRS by ClubLog will be available and will be the preferred method to use for your QSL confirmation.
Logs will be posted to Logbook Of The World (LoTW) approximately 6 months after the conclusion of the DXpedition.
QSLs will be available direct by mail through our QSL manager, W2IJ. We will post instructions as the expedition date approaches.
QSLs will also be available direct by the Bureau.
